It was a great experience to work with Shu Liu to buy a new home.
Shu Liu just helped us get our new home in SF bay area, where the housing market is crazily hot. We are not first-time buyers. We bought our old house several years ago via short sale and had an impression that buyer agent does not help much, especially in a hot seller market. Shu totally changed our mind this time. She took critical actions and gave critical suggestions multiple times when we bought our current house. We will give examples…After seeing multiple open houses, we found one that nearly satisfied all of our requirements. We reviewed all disclosures and did not see any problem. We finally decided to go ahead and place an offer that was much higher than the listing price to be more competitive. Surprisingly, Shu suggested putting the offer on hold. She did a simple test and identified a “potential” foundation issue of the house! If we placed the offer, we would get it accepted, as the final sale price was lower than our offer. But we would get a house with significant defects. No idea how much need to spend to fix the problem, or it could be fixed at all. The second example was Shu helped us make a quick and right decision on buying our current house. The house was listed in late Wed, and we visited and checked the house at noon Thursday and placed the offer in late Thursday. The offer was successfully accepted before the open house on Saturday. We believe that if we had not taken such quick action, we would not have gotten the house at such a reasonable price. Overall, it was a great experience to work with Shu on buying our new home. Now Shu is helping us to sell our old house. We will give another review after it is done.
